Here's some music from my upcoming project, one acoustic, one electric. On
"Offering" I'm using the 000/26.5" scale I built last fall, Katie Kennedy plays
cello.

Laurent, this is great man, i should have read your profile a bit sooner, great song and great acoustics!

Laurent is that you singing? Your voice reminds me of that guy from the Crash Test Dummies (very underrated band IMO). I like the sound of the acoustic guitar, very clean. The cello and guitar compliment each other nicely.

Great stuff Laurent, I like the off the wall nature, and the blend of Cello and guitar, I play a lot with my wife who plays Northumbrian pipes and violin (she's the real musician in the family) and dueting is much harder than soloing. Right the rest of you where is it?

Colin, how do those pipes sound with a steel-string guitar? I have a friend
here playing Irish pipes, smoother sound than Scottish pipes, but a beast to
play in different tonalities… And forget about temperament…

Nice work Laurent, your guitar and Katie's cello compliment your vocals very nicely. The rich warmth of the cello really does define the mood, all in all a lovely arrangement.

Laurent the Northumbrian pipes are much more akin to the Irish Aeolian pipes than the rather overpowering Scottish bagpies. A sort of sweeter, more delicate version of the Irish. I find that they benefit from a sort of smooth bass line from the guitar, I'm thinking of building a baritone some day just for that purpose. But I'll need Dave White's advice for that one.
